Understanding system performance requires clear, accessible data. These dashboards show how Kent County’s homelessness response system is performing, updated on a regular cycle and annotated in plain language.
Every January, teams across Kent County count every person experiencing homelessness on a single night: in shelters, in temporary housing, and sleeping outside. This is the Point-in-Time Count, or PIT Count. It is required by HUD, and it is the community’s most-cited measure of homelessness nationwide.
The the PIT Count is a snapshot of one night in January, not a total of who experiences homelessness across a year. Alongside the system’s other data, it helps show the scale of the need and whether our response is keeping pace.
The system’s full performance record, published for the community and for the partners whose funding depends on it.
The coalition’s yearly account of the system’s work and outcomes, written for the whole community.
HUD’s standardized measures of how well the system is doing its job, year over year.
The deep look at how people move through the system over time, reported annually to HUD.
